Meet The Co-founders

Tere is a former banking professional turned financial education enthusiast. Her 20+ years working with various sized companies in the cash management industry led her to formally pivot to a lifelong passion of hers, financial education for youth and communities. She worked in the Office of Teaching and Learning as the financial education manager for the Chicago Public Schools district, as a curriculum developer at the University of Chicago Financial Education Initiative, and continues to enjoy creating, designing, and facilitating high-quality programming in the financial wellness space. Tere holds her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

With over 35 years of experience in treasury management and wholesale payments, Ed Regina has held key executive leadership roles in product management, business development, sales strategy, and training for world-class financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase, Citizens Financial Group, and U.S. Bank. In 2018, he transitioned to the nonprofit sector, bringing his deep financial expertise to mission-driven work. Ed first joined the Associated House of Chicago, where he developed and taught technology classes for adults, helping bridge the digital divide. His passion for financial education then led him to co-found Financial Pathways, a social enterprise dedicated to equipping middle and high school students—as well as their parents—with essential financial literacy skills. Ed currently sits in the Supervisory Board at Great Lakes Credit Union reporting directly to the Board of Directors. Ed holds a bachelor’s in Economics and Sociology from Stony Brook University.
